Requesting New Supplier Content

Whenever you are working in Wetu and you cannot find supplier content that you need to build your itinerary successfully, you can reach out to us to load the missing content. This can be any form of supplier-related information such as (but not limited to):

  • Accommodations
  • Mobile Accommodations
  • Sites and Attractions
  • Activities
  • Restaurants
  • Infrastructure

Before sending your request
It is always advisable to double-check our database before requesting for us to load new content by using different spellings to locate the listing. The general rule of thumb is that we use the exact spelling found on the supplier's official website. 

There are thousands of supplier content loaded in our system so when searching for a supplier, use the main part of the name and not necessarily the whole name. For example Belmond Khwai River Lodge, there are lots of results for 'Belmond' and 'River Lodge', try searching for 'Khwai' / 'Khwai River'. 

Important guidelines to follow when requesting new supplier content

When requesting that new content be added to Wetu, please email the following details to content@wetu.com

  • Name of the Supplier (Accommodation, Site&Attraction, Activity or Restaurant)
  • Address and Destination
  • Official Website link
  • GPS coordinates when possible

When requesting new content for mobile accommodation we will require the following:

  • Cruise and Train Journeys, we will need all of the stops during the trip to ensure that you can build your routes
  • Mobile Safaris and Migration camps, you will need to provide us with each campsite during the mobile experience so that you would be able to indicate your overnight stays and your day stops accordingly. 
Note: If this entry is of something unusual and you know that the content and/or hi-res images for the entry are difficult to find and you have the correct authorization, please send these along with your request.
Note: You can provide us with a 3rd party website or factsheet to build a description for the listing, however, we cannot use any images or contact information from these resources.

Requesting New Destinations to be Loaded

When making a request with us to load a new Destination into Wetu it is important to keep the below-listed guidelines in mind to ensure that we can assist you as soon as possible.

Important guidelines to follow when requesting a new Destination

  • When requesting a new destination it is essential that you provide us with at least one accommodation located in that destination in order for us to load it.
  • Should your destination not have any accommodations, we would require a description of how you plan to use the destination in order to see if we could load the destination for you.
  • For destinations for mobile accommodations such as Cruises or Rail, we would require that you provide us with their website and/or an itinerary example. 

Guidelines on the destination we cannot load on Wetu
Below we have added a few guidelines on the types of destinations we are not able to load.

  • Destinations are linked to accommodations within Wetu, therefore, we do not load destinations for sights, attractions and activities.
  • We do not create destinations that are custom to a specific Operator, but not used by the rest of the industry. In this case, a custom destination must be created.
  • If the accommodation is located too far from the requested destination, we won’t be able to link it.

General Content Request Information

This section is to provide you with some insight as to how long it would take us to load your new content/destination content request into Wetu. 

  • Requests of 8 or fewer have an official turnaround time of 24hrs.
  • For requests, fewer than 20 have a 48hr turnaround time.
  • When receiving content requests that exceed 20, you will be contacted by one of our specialists to provide you with insight on the estimated time of completion as it would take a bit longer to complete.
