Profiles Explained

What are Profiles

A profile is a detailed record or overview of a business or individual supplier that provides goods or services to an organization. It contains key information about the supplier's background, capabilities, performance, and any other relevant data needed to establish and maintain a relationship.

Within Wetu we have structured our profiles into two categories namely: Public and Private.

Public Profiles

Public profiles would be any supplier profiles that are available to all users using Wetu as these profiles would be loaded on our public database. Our public profiles can be catagorised into two types, Core and Professional.

Core Public Profile
A Core Profile has a limited amount of information that can be added. This used to be referred to as our Basic listing.

For more information on how to create a Profile, you can have a look at this user guide

Professional Public Profile
Our Professional Profile has a far more comprehensive list of information that can be added, much like our Enhanced listing. The Professional Public Profile has an iBrochure output and has access to our Wetu Share Function. To create a Professional Profile, you would be required to sign up to Wetu and be the owner or management company of the supplier profile.

Here is a video tutorial explaining the process of upgrading your Core profiles to Professional and all functions available to you should you choose to upgrade.

Private Profile

Private Profiles would be any content you wish to create and use in your itineraries that would be completely bespoke to your account. This means that other Operators using Wetu would not have access to it in their itineraries.

Towards the end of creating your Private Profile, it is very important that you select the option 'Private Profile' otherwise it would be published as a Public Profile on the Wetu Database.

Watch this short video that takes you through the process of creating a Private Profile.

Important Things to Keep in Mind

Below are a couple of key points to keep in mind when you want to create Profiles in Wetu.

  • The infrastructure we have built does not allow for duplicate profiles to be created. This would also mean that should a profile be listed as 'Public' there would be no possibility to create a second version of it as 'Private' in your account. Should you wish to work on a Public profile and customise the content according to your brand, you can use these user guides to assist you with changing it.
  • When creating 'Public' profiles, you would need to be the owner of the supplier or service.
  • All profiles that are being created require a minimum of 6 images to be uploaded. Wetu would not allow you to proceed with the profile creation should you have less than the minimum required images.
  • For all content that you are uploading to your profile you are creating, you must have the applicable copyright permissions.
